With our cowboy hats safely back at home, the Rent Manager team has returned to the office following the 2023 Rent Manager User Conference (RMUC) in Dallas, Texas. Held October 23rd through the 26th, our team executed a Lone Star-studded event, filled with learning, networking, and a lot of Texas-sized fun.
While this year’s event boasted a tagline of Everything’s Bigger in Texas, that prediction was realized with a record-breaking turnout of both attendees and sponsors. From a new Rent Manager Bootcamp option to line-dancing the night away with our fellow property management pros, we wanted to share our favorite highlights from RMUC.23 to relive the magic from our largest conference to date.
Booting Up at Bootcamp
The conference kicked off with two packed bootcamp sessions for attendees. Our classic Core Bootcamp refreshed Rent Manager rookies on everything they needed to know about the software, while the new Administrator Bootcamp taught property management leaders how to best use Rent Manager to optimize their business. Both sessions were a rousing success, with high attendance and lots of invaluable education.
The Saloon Soiree
Monday night, attendees donned their best western-inspired attire and connected over drinks and entertainment at the Saloon Soiree Opening Reception. Attendees networked with industry peers, enjoyed some down-home tunes, and got ready for all the fun and excitement of the week ahead.
The Keynote Address
Dave Hegemann—President and CEO of LCS—delivered the highly anticipated RMUC.23 Keynote Address on Tuesday morning to a packed ballroom of conferencegoers. In his speech, Dave demonstrated new features coming to Rent Manager in the next year and announced the location of the 2024 Rent Manager User Conference—Palm Springs, California at the JW Mariott Desert Springs Resort & Spa!
Spectacular Sessions
With more than 90 sessions, dozens of featured presenters, and nine learning tracks, RMUC.23 was filled with learning opportunities for every segment of the property management industry. A particularly notable session with high attendance was Chris Griesinger’s Becoming a More Engaging Speaker, where LCS’ Director of Customer Experience showed attendees how to harness their energy to become more effective at public speaking. Other instructive opportunities included industry-specific networking get-togethers where professionals from every property-management specialty had a chance to brainstorm with peers; sessions that took a deep dive into our numerous integrated provider technologies; and a gathering that introduced attendees to the LCS Executive Leadership team.
The Honky Tonk Premier Social Event
Tuesday evening, attendees dusted off their cowboy boots and line-danced the night away at the Honky Tonk Premier Social Event. While the weather outside was frightful, the good times rolled inside as attendees enjoyed dinner, drinks, dancing, and live entertainment that delighted and dazzled.
Making Connections at Meals
One of the main draws of the RMUC is being able to connect with peers from across the country and around the globe. To get the conversations flowing, our catered meals provided attendees with a prompt—such as their title, their industry segment, and their favorite NFL Team—and seated them together. This way, like-minded attendees could socialize and network with potential new connections without having to strike up a conversation on their own. Once again, Mealtime Networking proved to be a relaxed, easy way to make meaningful connections at the conference!
The Power Hour Fiesta
Sponsored by our Built-In Partner, AvidXchange, the Power Hour Fiesta was yet another opportunity for RMUC attendees to network with each other and our conference Sponsors. Held in Innovation Hall on Wednesday afternoon, this ‘Happy Hour’ styled event was a fun, less-formal end to the third day of the conference that allowed mixing and mingling to coincide with operations-advancing PropTech opportunities.
Jam-Packed with Activities
Between sessions, attendees participated in a selection of fun activities to blow off some steam and earn a chance to win some amazing raffle prizes. Conferencegoers could peruse Innovation Hall to fill out their Sponsor Passports, hunt high and low for cow decals hidden throughout the event space in the Longhorn Roundup game, learn LCS and Rent Manager’s history from the Timeline Wall, or pick up a paintbrush to help create our Rent Manager Paint-by-Numbers Mural.
It’s a Wrap at the Closing Ceremony
Thursday morning, it was time to say goodbye and close the door on another successful Rent Manager User Conference. Brittany Christerson, COO and RMUC Coordinator, brought the event to a rousing end by raffling off some coveted prizes, crowning Chris Greisinger the RMUC.23 Employee Top Dog, and setting the stage for next year’s West Coast experience.
Thank you to our amazing attendees and sponsors for your continued support—you make this conference the absolute best in the industry. RMUC.23 may be finished, but preparations for RMUC.24 have already begun! We can’t wait to host the next Rent Manager User Conference for you in Palm Springs, California, November 4–7, 2024.
