The Rent Manager Development team continues to create and enhance features to simplify your processes and help grow your business. In case you missed it, several exciting features have come to Rent Manager in the last few months. So, we’re recapping our most recent Release Notes updates to share new processes and workflows that can work for you.

In Rent Manager Express, you can now create a new vendor or general ledger account while working on another transaction—such as adding a check or bill—without losing your progress. Just select the + Add New button from the Vendor or Expense Account drop-down, add the new record, and continue your data entry. The new record is immediately added to the system and will be available for future use.

We’re excited to share that Dashboard tiles in Rent Manager Express have a new look and feel! To deliver a more professional and sleek design to the Dashboard, we’ve changed the default colors for the header border, background, and font. You can also customize each of these colors when creating a new Dashboard in Express. Further, you now have the ability to save graphs from the Dashboard as images to include in emails, presentations, etc. Check out our new styling here.

Get ready to simplify loan management—our new Loans Payable feature is here to keep your business’s loans organized and on track, all in one place. This feature makes it easy to see loan balances, manage loan details, and record loan payment transactions. Further, Rent Manager will calculate the principal and interest split on your payments while allowing you to add escrow or other costs, so you always have a clear picture of what’s due.

Simplify the complex task of managing evictions with Eviction Workflows in Rent Manager Express. These workflows help you track crucial data, avoid missteps, and provide your team with clear visibility into eviction statuses, notes, and history.

Plus, you can customize workflows at the property level, tailoring them to the specific regulations of each jurisdiction where your properties are located.

We’ve expanded the new Loans Payable feature by introducing the Refinance Loan Wizard and two reporting options. The Refinance Loan Wizard simplifies the refinancing process in Rent Manager Express, enabling users to close out a current loan, set up a new loan, capture financial transactions, and maintain loan history within the History/Notes section.

Additionally, the Loans Payable Transaction History Report provides a detailed breakdown of payments made to loans during a specified date range, while the Loans Payable Listing Report offers a complete overview of each loan, including key information such as the lender, loan number, interest rate, monthly payment, remaining principal, and more.

To take a deep dive into these capabilities and tools, be sure to check out the full release notes in Rent Manager University by navigating to Resources > Release Notes. You can find further details in Rent Manager Help (by clicking the question mark (?) icon in Rent Manager Express). Also, sign up for notifications to receive the Rent Manager Release Notes email every month. That way, you’ll never miss the details about our latest features!
